A Review of Research on Doped Metal Halogen Perovskite Published by Fujian Institute of Physics

Metal halide perovskite materials have become hotspots in recent years in the fields of optoelectronics and photovoltaics due to their tunable spectral absorption, high carrier mobility, and good defect tolerance. However, most metal halide perovskite compounds contain heavy metal lead and the material is unstable which affects its practical application. Through reasonable chemical doping, scientific researchers doped dopants such as long-chain cations, halogen anions, and metal ions into metal halide perovskites to solve the above problems to a certain extent, and introduced some new and different optoelectronics performance.

In recent years, the team of Luo Junhua, a researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry at the Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matters, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has received funding from key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Outstanding Youth Fund, the Strategic Pilot Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Special Project of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences A series of progress has been made in the structural design and performance control of metal halogen inorganic organic hybrid perovskites and their doped compounds (J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2019,141, 3812; J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2019, 141, 2623; J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2018, 140, 6806; Angew. Chem., Int. Ed., 2018, 57, 16764; Angew. Chem., Int. Ed., 2018, 57 , 9833; Angew. Chem., Int. Ed., 2018,57, 8140; Adv. Func. Mater., 2018, 12, 1805038; Adv. Func. Mater., 2018, 28, 1705467; Laser Photonics Rev., 2018, 12, 1800060; J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2017, 139, 15900; Angew. The team wrote a review paper entitled Rational Chemical Doping of Metal Halide Perovskites in combination with its systematic research on organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials and the research status in this field. This paper summarizes the theoretical and experimental breakthroughs and progress made in recent years in doping metal halide perovskites, and rationally expounds the structure-performance relationship between the perovskite structure and performance, in order to design inorganic and organic hybrids with high performance Perovskite materials provide new ideas. The relevant results were published in "Chemistry Society Review" (Chem. Soc. Rew., 2019, 48, 517–539) and were selected as the back cover.
