Building materials: prices rose in some areas during the peak season

This week, the national cement market prices continued to fluctuate upward slightly, up by 0.04% from last week. The rising areas are mainly in parts of Guangzhou, Guiyang, and Guangxi Beiliu, with prices rising by RMB 10-40/ton; the falling areas are mainly concentrated in Gansu, Nanchang, Jiangxi, and Zaozhuang, Shandong, with prices down 20-30 yuan/ton.

The price of coal in the transit site declined slightly and the coal price in transit sites in the country declined slightly, at 825 yuan/ton. On a year-on-year basis, coal prices were higher than the same period last year (730 yuan/ton). The price difference between cement and coal remained stable, and was significantly higher than the national average of 314.42 yuan/ton on August 14 of the same period of last year, which was a decrease of 0.21 yuan/ton compared with last week and higher than the same period of last year (271.70 yuan/ton). From the comparison of the price difference between cement and coal in each region and last week, the profitability of the East China and Northwest China regions decreased by 3 yuan/ton and 7 yuan/ton respectively, and the profitability in North China and Northeast China remained unchanged. Profitability was 2 yuan/ton and 10 yuan/ton respectively. On a year-on-year basis, the profitability of Northeast China, East China, and South China were all significantly higher than those of the same period of last year. North China and Southwest China were slightly higher than the same period of last year. Northwest China was significantly lower than the same period of last year.
