Methanol price shifts downward

Last week, the domestic methanol market had weak demand and the price center of gravity shifted down. Affected by the fall of methanol, the market's mentality is unstable, while the downstream operating rate is increasing slowly, and buyers are less willing to accept the goods. The recent domestic methanol start-up is stable and the market supply is relatively sufficient. Under the background of weak demand, the short-term market fears will be weak, but the support from the cost makes the price drop space limited.

The methanol market in East China is fatigued and prices are weakening. The downstream operating rate is insufficient, and buyers are less willing to accept the goods. The mainstream price quoted last weekend was between 2900 and 3030 yuan (t price, the same below). Among them, Jiangsu's methanol market mainstream quoted price is from 2900 to 2950 yuan; Shandong methanol's mainstream ex-factory price is reduced to 2680 to 2720 yuan.

The methanol market in South China lacked talks and the prices were slightly lower. The market has ample supply of goods and buyers are less willing to accept the goods. Last weekend, the mainstream market price in 2960 ~ 2980 yuan. Among them, the turnover of Fujian's methanol market was weak, traders shipped slowed down, prices fell slightly, the market price in the 3070 ~ 3100 yuan.

The methanol spot in Central China was sufficient, and the trend gradually weakened. The mainstream methanol ex-factory price was lowered to 2600-2650 yuan. Among them, the mainstream factory price in the west of Henan province has dropped to 2,600 to 2,620 yuan; the mainstream quoted price in Hunan is 2,850 to 2,900 yuan; and that in Hubei is 2,800 to 2,850 yuan.

In northern China, the methanol atmosphere was weak, and the price remained stable, but the mainstream ex-factory price was between 2470 and 2650 yuan. Among them, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, the supply of the market is loose, the mainstream factory price in the 2600 ~ 2650 yuan; Shanxi methanol factory shipments stable, the price change is not large, the mainstream price of methanol in the 2470 ~ 2650 yuan.

The trading climate in the methanol market in Northeast China has picked up and prices have gradually increased. The construction of downstream plants started to pick up slowly. The buyers replenished the inventory in small quantities, which led to a warmer atmosphere of negotiation. The mainstream price of methanol was between RMB 2,300 and RMB 2,450. Among them, Liaoning's methanol prices rose moderately, with the mainstream price at 2700-2800 yuan.
