Spring export prospects and analysis of major competitors

During the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" period, China's spring exports accounted for less than 3% of the spring's output value. According to expert statistics, those industrial countries' spring product exports accounted for about 15% to 20% of the output value. From a long-term point of view, China's spring industry enterprises should take concrete actions according to their own circumstances, such as joint ventures with foreign companies, the introduction of foreign advanced technology, etc., in order to improve product quality, enhance competitiveness, create a well-known brand, expand products in the international community. Its influence will grab a larger share of the international market in order to achieve greater export efforts.

China still has a certain gap with foreign countries in production management, tooling level and product quality. Especially in terms of high-tech products, China is far from the industrial developed countries in the world. At present, China's spring industry's main competitors are Japan and the United States.

In Japan's case, in recent years, the quality of spring raw materials in Japan has gradually increased, quality problems have been greatly reduced, and product quality has been seldom seen due to problems caused by materials. The basis for Japanese companies to determine the production plan is generally order status and market information. The data source of the production plan is part of the customer's order or internal data, and the forecasting data of the salesman based on the continuity of the customer's demand and market information on the sales situation in the next two months, and it truly achieves the “sale-for-production” business model. Its equipment has been leading China for more than 10 years and has played a greater role in their advanced enterprise management system. The application of a large number of NC and CNC equipment and the provision of monitoring sensors and accidental error prevention devices have not only greatly increased their labor productivity, but also ensured the overall quality of their products, resulting in a corresponding reduction in production costs for large-scale production. About 50% of companies in Japan's spring industry have invested in research and development, and more than 40% have established research and development departments. According to relevant statistics, the average volume of unqualified products in Japan's spring industry is 0.4%. In respect of product quality control, Japanese spring companies are equipped with strong personnel strengths in quality management and testing, fully satisfy customer requirements, establish manufacturing processes at the PPM level, and thoroughly implement countermeasures for adverse recurrence.

All of these provide necessary conditions for strengthening the competitiveness of Japanese spring products. If China wants to establish a firm foothold in the fierce international competition, it must learn from its development experience to improve the quality of our country's spring products and the management level of the company.
