This standard is the country's first mandatory national standard for children's furniture and is currently in the final revision period. Li Longping said that the "General Technical Conditions for Children's Furniture" clearly stated for the first time that children's furniture should be suitable for children aged 3 to 14 years. The standard includes nine parts of toxic and hazardous substances and the use of safety warning labels.

According to Li Longping, in addition to the detailed and clear provisions on the sharp corners, prominent parts, holes, gap size, and stability performance of children's furniture, the standard imposes stricter restrictions on the control of toxic and hazardous substances. The toxic and hazardous substances are mainly limited to 10 kinds of formaldehyde, soluble heavy metals, etc., and children's toys are similar requirements.
