UG uses Excel to save the coordinates of the associated points in the 3D model (Figure)

This operation can obtain the X, Y, Z coordinate values of the point and save the coordinate value in the EXCEL table on the drawing. And the coordinate values of these points are associated with points. Referring to the figure below, we want to output the X, Y, and Z coordinates of these points in an EXCEL table and ask the coordinate values to be associated with the points.

  Proceed as follows:

1. In the Modeling environment, InsertSketch
• Create a sketch at WCS(0,0,0)

2. Create an associated sketch point Sketch Associative Points:

3. Still "Activate Active" the sketch, select EditProperties, select the point, "OK", mainly to get the "Name" of each point.

Note 1 : The Name can also be displayed as "V1", depending on the setting of PreferenceSketch

Note 2 : There is also a more convenient way to display the name of the point, that is, the mouse moves at each point, and the name will be displayed in the “Status Line” at the bottom right of the UG graphics window.

4. “Finish Sketch”, ToolsSpreadsheet, select Cell A1, and drag, highlight B1 and C1, at Cell A1 input = POINT (“Vertex1”) Press “CRTL+SHIFT+ENTER”.

Please see the figure below. The X, Y and Z coordinates of this point are filled in Cell A1, B1, C1 respectively.

5. The coordinates of each point can be listed line by line in the same way:

6. In the activated EXCEL window, FileExit, OK

7. ApplicationDrafting

8. InsertTabular Note, place a form on the screen

9. Select "Import Spreadsheet" in the toolbar menu of the "Drafting Table"

Note: In NX2, the table function is greatly improved, and the operations of column column, row row, and cell cell can be conveniently performed. The addition is as follows:

11. If the thickness of the model is changed

12. ToolsSpreadsheet, Z coordinate values are automatically updated:

13. In the Drafting state, the Z coordinate value of the point is also automatically updated:
