Recently, many users asked how to test the alien crosstalk of the network cable? Here are some tips for using DSX2-5000 to test the external crosstalk of the network cable. Here we take DSX2-5000 + permanent link adapter + channel adapter + AXTALK terminator + AxTalk Analyzer PC software as an example.
The parameters to be tested for the external crosstalk test of the network cable are PS ANEXT and PS AACR-F.
PS ANEXT interference link test
The PS ANEXT interference link test is used to measure the amount of signal sent by the near-end transmitter received by the pair in another test cable at the near-end. AxTalk can measure the external near-end crosstalk of all 16 wire pair combinations between two wiring links in the frequency range of 1 to 500 MHz.
PS AACR-F interference link test
The PS AACR-F interference link test is used to measure the amount of signal sent by the near-end transmitter received by the pair in another test cable at the far end. AxTalk can measure the attenuated far-end alien crosstalk of all 16 wire pairs between two wiring links in the frequency range of 1 to 500 MHz.
If you can't find a network cable for the synchronous link, you can use the channel adapter to test at the near end, as shown below.
AxTalk analysis software needs to be installed on the computer.
