For high-volume production, we can make special diamond rollers to trim larger rounded wheel rounds. However, due to the high price and poor versatility of the diamond roller, it is not suitable for the production of small batches and varieties. Therefore, we have designed a unique wheel dresser for trimming large-sized grinding wheel rounds. The specific structure is as follows (see attached drawing).
1. Use of the device
The diamond pen 24 is mounted on the rotary shaft 21, and the position of the diamond pen is adjusted according to the required fillet size of the grinding wheel. In operation, the nut 5 is loosened first, then the handlebar 25 is rotated to drive the gears 9, 11 and the rotary shaft 21 is driven by the gear 11. Two bearings 20 are mounted on the rotary shaft to slide in the annular groove of the guide plate 17. When the arc of the grinding wheel is trimmed, the nut 5 is tightened, and the outer circle of the grinding wheel can be trimmed at this time.
2. Equipment production requirements
The matching precision between the two bearings and the annular groove on the rotary shaft 21 must be fully ensured. Because there is a gap between the two gears, the compression screw 3 and the bearing on it are used to ensure that the rotary shaft does not rotate around its own central axis. Otherwise, the diamond pen may be shaken or even dangerous when trimming the outer circumference of the grinding wheel. The radius of the guide plate annular groove can be determined according to the range of fillet sizes required to be trimmed.
3. Conclusion
The device has been verified in production and has a good effect. The advantage of the device is that the manufacturing cost and the use cost are low, the product has the universality, the operation is simple and practical, the range of the rounding angle is large, the large arc grinding wheel can be trimmed, and the arc part and the straight part of the grinding wheel can be accurately ensured.
