Misleading advertising
Some home improvement companies use false advertising to exaggerate their use of words. For example, they use false or expired honorary titles such as “XX Association members,†“one hundred companies,†“integrity units,†and “no complaints units†to mislead consumers in advertisements.
Recommendation: Seriously review its various honors and certifications, and if necessary, verify the authenticity of the issuing unit.
Contract fraud
Some home improvement companies make unfair forms of contracts or use vague terminology to stipulate vague terms, such as contracting to use a certain brand of paint, but not to make a difference in paint grades. Some illegal operators misled consumers into signing two contracts with different contents at the same time. They falsely claimed that one was a formal contract and the other was a model contract. When the settlement was made, the contract would require consumers to pay for the fee.
Suggestion: When signing a contract, it is best to use or learn from the contract text prepared by the industry and commerce authorities. The contract shall be signed in detail with the construction period, acceptance procedures, etc., and the compensation rate of the penalty fine shall also be agreed upon.
