Recently, the Minimally Invasive Center of the Institute of Biomedical and Health Engineering, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences has made new progress in the field of ultra-high stretch flexible sensors. Flexible sensors are hot research topics in wearable medicine, robotics and other fields. Among them, stretchability, sensitivity, stability, reliability and comfort are important performance indicators of strain sensors. How to achieve high stretchability while greatly improving sensitivity and repeatability is still a challenge currently facing .

To this end, members of the research group proposed a method based on optimized design of micro-channels, using flexible flexible sensors made of liquid metal. The research team used the optimization results of finite element simulation to design and prepare a flexible stretchable sensor. The experimental results show that the flexible sensor can work normally under 590% stretching, 270o torsion and 180o bending. When stretching 550%, the sensitivity GF can reach 4.95, and the stretching repetition rate error is less than 0.1%, which provides a feasible method for achieving accurate motion measurement of human fingers, wrists and other joints, and fully demonstrates its application in the field of flexible wearable electronic devices Good application value.
