The world's first nano valve came out

An American research team reported that they made the world's first nanovalve. This valve controls the ingress and egress of molecules, and scientists envision future use of it to deliver individual drug molecules into cells. The nanovalve developed by UCLA professor Jeffrey Chink and others is composed of two parts. One is the artificially designed rotaxane molecule, which is the active switch "core" of the valve, and the other part is the 500 nm square porous silicon material, which is the fixed part of the valve, and its pore size is only a few nanometers.
The switch rotane designed by researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, consists of a long dumbbell-shaped chain and a molecular ring that moves back and forth between the ends of the "dumbbell".
