The small steel drums we are talking about are steel drums and industrial thin steel round cans. After examining the quality of several batches of barrel plants, we found that many small barrels produced by the barrel factories have the following major defects:
The actual geometry of the small steel drum does not correspond to the given geometrical dimensions of the product standard for small steel drums; when the suspension test is performed, the pick-up ring of the steel drum is pulled out from the nose; for the drop test, some steel drums leak.
Now, I'll talk about some of the problems with the above-mentioned steel drums.
First, on the geometric size After inspection of the quality of many small steel drums found that enterprises do not have product standards, many companies based on the user's capacity requirements, self-designed and manufactured, and some companies based on user-provided samples. Barrels manufactured in this way are difficult to conform to the dimensions of the technical requirements of the product standard. In order to solve this contradiction, the author proposes that the barrel making enterprises should try to make barrels according to product standards. If at present the problem is due to the keg mold or process tooling, when the barrel cannot be produced according to the product standard, the barrel making enterprise must not only indicate the volume of the steel barrel in the production contract or sales contract, but also indicate the inside diameter and the inside diameter of the steel barrel. High, outside diameter, outside height. In this way, companies will reduce a lot of unnecessary trouble when they check the quality of steel drums.
Second, the ring from the nose pull out GB13252091 "Packing container steel bucket" standard stipulates: "in the barrel body along the vertical downward direction load to 590N, hold 5 minutes, the beam, ring and its connection with the barrel body No damage". The standard GB/T15170-94 "Thin steel plate round cans for packaging containers industry" stipulates: "The round cans should be able to withstand three times the test load of the volumetric water, hold for 5 minutes, the lifting beams and lifting rings must not fall off and crack." In this test, steel drums produced by many companies were pulled out of the nose under such loads. Observe the scene, check the main reasons are as follows:
1, ring steel wire is not enough steel. Under the specified load, the ring is deformed and pulled out from the nose;
2. The length of the nasal packing ring is not enough, that is, the nose is short and the ring is easy to deform, and is pulled out from the nose;
3, the gap between the nose and the ring is large, after the force is easy to pull out from the nose.
In order to solve this problem, it is recommended to use a steel wire with a good degree of rigidity (appropriate thickening), increase the length of the nose and ring appropriately, and reduce the gap between the nose rings.
III. Leakage test leakage of small steel drums For Class III and Class IV barrels, the primary and secondary barrels are subject to drop tests in accordance with the specified load and the prescribed height. If there is leakage, the leakage is based on the leakage area. Analysis, the main reasons are as follows:
1, poor quality of steel plate;
2, no seal packing, or uneven packing used;
3. The crimping pressure of the cover is not enough and the curling pressure is not tight. When the drop test is conducted, the gap is increased and leakage occurs.
Solution: To use good quality steel plates, adjust the pressure and improve the process.
In addition, the inspection can determine the quality of the product and can provide the quality management department with accurate data and quality information. Therefore, the inspection work can only be strengthened and cannot be weakened.
