For this reason, noise reduction lubricants generally use high viscosity and high flow point greases to ensure noise reduction performance. However, there is a problem in that the fluidity at a low temperature after the increase in the viscosity is deteriorated, resulting in a loss of driving performance, and if the viscosity at a low temperature is lowered, the noise reduction characteristics are deteriorated.
Tony Dow Corning's newly developed noise reduction lubricants achieve low viscosity at low temperatures while ensuring that the noise reduction performance is equivalent to that of previous products. Specifically, in the low-temperature torque test of the lubricant at -40°C specified in the "JIS K 2220" standard, the starting torque is only 46 mN·m, and the rotating torque is only 22 mN·m (G-1067). The two indicators of the original lubricants were 680mN·m and 260mN·m, respectively.
In addition, the new product also improves the working efficiency at the time of coating. The original noise-reducing lubricating oil has a high viscosity and causes wire drawing, and it easily adheres to parts that do not require lubricating oil or other parts. The small amount of new product drawing will keep the operating environment clean and therefore increase production efficiency. In addition, the new product has few oil stains.
